| | | Vikas News – July 2017 issue | | | | Dear Users, Time to register your feedback on Vikaspedia’s utility… Vikaspedia has been fortunate to earn the continued interests of its users, not only through their visits, but also through their feedbacks. To know more on how we can serve you better, a simple survey is being taken to assess the utility of Vikaspedia initiative. As a user of the service, we request you to spare your valuable time in filling up the form. Your suggestions would help us to serve, users like you, in a better way. If you have already responded to the survey, thanks a ton… As a nation, we have the mandate to create a level playing field to all including the specially challenged. Under the section “Schemes for You”, we provide a coverage on “Sugamya Pustakalaya” which is an online library that contains books accessible to the blind, people with low vision or to persons with any other print disability. The library houses publications across diverse subjects and languages and multiple accessible formats. It has been created by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in collaboration with member organizations of Daisy Forum of India (DFI). Do visit the section to know more on this. The usage of mobiles have far surpassed the utility of just making calls. With smartphones becoming a common utility item, the scope of its usage has expanded beyond imagination. But, along with it also comes in security and safety threats. In this issue, under the section “InfoSec for You” we throw light on “Safe ways of using Smartphones”. The regular section on Domain-wise content updates also find place in this issue of Vikas News.
