As all of you were waiting for this because in the previous year (2015) SBI did not released the notification of Clerical Cadre, so in this year it has released the huge vacancy of 13734 posts under Clerical Cadre. In line with this we are providing you the best strategy to prepare for the SBI Clerk Prelims 2016 Exam. It is expected that the level of the SBI Clerk Prelim Exam will be of easy to moderate level.
Smart work requires getting success in the first phase of Clerk exam. It is important to prepare a full proof plan before the exam and implement those strategies during exam in order to ensure sure shot success in the exam. So in order to formulate good strategies, here we are presenting you a Master Strategy to Crack SBI Clerk Prelims Exam.
If you look at the exam pattern, the total number of questions in this exam is 100 and you will get only 60 minutes (one hour) to solve all the questions. Try to attempt maximum questions in each section so that you can qualify all the three sections individually and manage to qualify overall cutoff of the exam.

Master Strategy for each section
The best approach is to do a section wise planning, focus on your strengths and weakness and work on them accordingly. Which section should I attempt first in SBI Clerk Prelim Exam and why?
Go for the section first you’re most confident with. If you are good in solving questions of the English Language section, then attempt that section first, or if you are good in Reasoning or Quant start your exam with those sections. This will give you a lot of confidence. Once, your confidence is boosted, go for the subject you find the toughest.
Considering this theory, we have brought you a detailed section – wise study of questions you must attempt first to score well in the SBI Clerk Prelim Exam 2016. So here we go –
I. English Language - Level (Easy)
Undoubtedly, there are many candidates who are weak and average in English section and feel anxious about this section. It is important to note that the level of Question in English section will be easy and you can easily attempt 20+ questions in the exam.
Try to practice questions from each topic on a daily basis in order to acquire proficiency in this section. Analyze your attempt after practicing it and do not repeat same mistake during exam.
During the exam always try to attempt the English section in the following order:
(i) Fill in the Blanks - Level (Easy)
(ii) Cloze test - Level (Easy)
(iii) Spotting the Error - Level (Easy)
(iv) Sentence Improvement - Level (Easy)
(iv) Para-jumbles - Level (Easy)
(v) Reading Comprehension - Level (Easy to Moderate)
Note: It is expected that Story based Reading Comprehension can be asked in upcoming SBI Clerk Prelims 2016 Exam.
II. Reasoning - Level (Easy)
Many of you have good command over this section. This section considered as one of the scoring sections in he exam. You can attempt as well as score high in this section if you can manage to answer maximum questions with 100% accuracy. Before approaching this section, always make sure that don’t try to waste your time in attempting lengthy and confusing questions. Just attempt all the easy questions first and then move to next section.
Start with those questions which are not lengthy and which appear easy to you. It is always a good idea to attempt the Reasoning section in the following order:
(i) Syllogism - Level (Easy)
(ii) Inequality - Level (Easy)
(iii) Coding – Decoding - Level (Easy)
(iv) Miscellaneous Questions - Level (Easy)
(v) Linear Arrangement - Level (Easy)
(vi) Circular Seating Arrangement - Level (Easy to Moderate )
(vii) Puzzle - Level (Easy to Moderate)
Note: Circular Seating Arrangement/ Puzzle – Do not start reasoning section with these types of questions, if you get stuck on these questions, you will lose valuable time.
III. Numerical Ability - Level (Easy to Moderate)
Quant is the most scoring section in Clerk exam. Do not start quant section with those questions which are lengthy or involve too many calculations. It is always a good idea to attempt the Quant section in the following order:
(i) Data Interpretation– Questions on Data Interpretation are usually scoring, short and not very time consuming, and thereby should be the first ones to be solved.
(ii) Simplification / Approximation
(iii) Number series – Please do not stick on trying to solve number series questions. Skip the questions, if you are unable to find the series.
(iv) Miscellaneous questions – Average, Profit & Loss, Time & Work, etc.
Note: You must not attempt questions serial wise. Attempt those questions which appear easy to you.

Important Tips for SBI Clerk Prelim 2016 Exam
1. Short Cut to achieve success in SBI Clerk Prelim exam is to find and attempt easy questions first. You will be in a safe zone if you can fetch 10 to 15 marks in each section plus an overall 45-50 mark to get into Phase II.
2. Each question needs a certain time to be solved, the question to time ratio in the SBI Clerk Prelim Exam is less than 1. Thus, skip all the time consuming questions and do them later when you are sure that you have attempted as many easy and scoring questions as you could have.
3. Time Management is very important for the Prelims. To master your timing skills make a target time and achieve it.
4. During the last one week, you should focus only on the practice sessions. Practice the 1 hour SBI Clerk Prelim 2016 Mock Test, which will help you to improve speed and accuracy.
